Basic Description
Desolation is a small desert/wasteland map. It's geared for quick games and has a lot of gold available both in bases as well as in the side and center mines. Each base has two major entrances, one of which is relatively wide and open to heavy assaults. Being a desert/wasteland map, it has little vegetation and lots of sandy mounds, and there isn't much cover besides rocks and the higher side paths.

Points of Strategic Importance
- As with most maps, the center of the map is generally the most important area to hold on to - providing the most gold in a single mine, and access to both the North and South mines.
- Each base has a straight path to one scar, which may be usable for either assaults on bases using hellbourne, or an easily defensible place to put a shrine.
- The mine closer to each base may also be a good staging point for assaults on that base (similar to deadlock). Holding those mines or keeping them clear will be crucial to keeping the enemy at bay.
